What is Glamour?
.
According to Wikipedia, Glamour is “an appearance of enhanced attractiveness”. As a matter of fact, glamour is a lot more than that. Being a complex term that reflects certain developments of contemporary urban living, glamour is the power that unites money, sex and art. Glamour is a stunning capitalist luxury and exaggerated sexy aesthetics. Glamour is an exciting cocktail made of beauty, allure, posturing, fashion, charm, seduction, carnality, delight and sensuality.
Glamour encourages us to buy expensive but unnecessary gadgets. It is the feeling of being young, hot and successful. High heels, large sun glasses and expensive alloy wheels are little manifestations of glamour. It’s not about how reach you are. It’s about how reach you look and feel. It’s about being extraordinary… Glamour is buying Prada instead of Aldo and MBW instead of Toyota… even if you can’t really afford it… Glamour is paying $300 for a bottle a wine while you could spend $50 and it would taste almost as good. Impulse... impression... feedback... If you think about it, glamour is somewhat meaningless but it is a part of our life and we love it!
